A Dutch artist Miranda Pronk has made a serie of Blythe portrets. Although the artwork is very captivating, the similarity to original custom dolls is striking. So is this really art or is this just copy-work?I'm not sure what the original custom artists would say. Miranda does not refer to the original dolls.
See here some of the paintings by Miranda compared to the original custom dolls. The first painting is inspired by the Laetitia Pia Pia doll of Julien Martinez. The second is obviously inspired by Ana Karina's doll, Desirae. And the third is a copy of Lavigna Vampiria, also by Julien Martinez.
