More OOAK Blythe dolls copied for paintings

The Dutch 'artist' Miranda Pronk copies beautiful OOAK dolls in her paintings. Unfortunately she doesn't give the original artists any credits. Also you may question her own imagination, because the paintings seem exact copies of the original artwork by the OOAK artists.
After the copies of work by Julien Martinez and Anna Karina, there are obvious copies of the wellknown OOAK artists Picara, Ragazza and Olydoll.
In the meantime Miranda has removed the copies I mentioned in first post from the online gallery. Although Miranda must be aware of her copywork she claims she has the copyright on these paintings....

Blythe painting, Copycat or Artwork?

A Dutch artist Miranda Pronk has made a serie of Blythe portrets. Although the artwork is very captivating, the similarity to original custom dolls is striking. So is this really art or is this just copy-work?
I'm not sure what the original custom artists would say. Miranda does not refer to the original dolls.
See here some of the paintings by Miranda compared to the original custom dolls. The first painting is inspired by the Laetitia Pia Pia doll of Julien Martinez. The second is obviously inspired by Ana Karina's doll, Desirae. And the third is a copy of Lavigna Vampiria, also by Julien Martinez.

`Late´ welcome to Gullivine

A while ago Gullivine joined my other girls. She is a delicate and beautful girl, and the perfect friend (of maybe) even sister of Vanite. Gullivine was created by EM.a, a custom artist from France.

A new year with great ambition

Dear all,
I decided a few weeks ago that I would start doing my blog in English in the new year. This way I hope to reach more people like you and me, hooked on Blythe.
And now I will use this first post in 2011 to tell you about another Blog that I have come across, which is a great source of information for all Blythe lovers. This blog is by Fanny Zara, or rather "Mademoiselle Blythe" and she posts great interviews with Blythe designers, collectors and customizers.

I can't wait to read the next interview. Always very informative with loads of pictures. So start following Fanny's blog.

Prachtige Custom Blythe on Ebay: Emilie by Erregiro

Hoewel ik net een post heb gedaan, wil ik deze prachtige Custom Blythe toch onder de aandacht brengen. Het is een creatie van Rafael R. Girona, die onder de naam Erregiro al jaren hele mooie Blythe customs maakt.
De pop die nu wordt aangeboden op Ebay is een jubileumcreatie en zeker heel speciaal. Emilie is geinspireerd op de vrouw (en muse) van de kunstenaar Gustav Klimt. Let op de prachtige details in de kleding met duidelijke verwijzingen naar de schilderijen van Gustav Klimt en natuurlijk het fascinerende gezicht van Emilie.
Erregiro heeft ook een nieuwe website die de moeite waard is. Een hele creatieve site met al zijn werk.

Happy New Blythe Year

Het jaar zit er bijna op. Dit jaar is een mooi jaar geweest met veel bijzondere Blythe creaties en voldoende inspiratie. Vanuit de sneeuw wens ik iedereen een heel mooi 2011! Speciaal voor de gelegenheid een prachtige winterse customdoll van Olydoll.

Merry Christmas!

Ineens bedenk ik dat het 10 jaar geleden is dat Blythe de ster was in de kerstcampagne van Parco. Een magisch moment. Nog geen half jaar later lag de eerste Neo Blythe in de schappen.

Nu, zo'n twee weken voor kerst wens ik iedereen heerlijke feestdagen en een heel gelukkig, liefdevol 2011!
